Alice Peacock

Chicago based recording artist Alice Peacock’s first independent release Real Day earned national attention and received a “Top Ten Independent Artists of the Year” from Amazon.com; her follow-up album Alice Peacock featured the hit “Bliss”, a duet with John Mayer and  Who I Am, her current recording, recalls the golden age of singer-songwriter pop -- the album cover was even shot by legendary rock photographer Henry Diltz.

“She has an amazing gift for writing songs that have both depth and a pop hook that rivals those of 60-era songwriters such as Carole King and Burt Bacharach” - Dirty Linen Magazine, June/July 2007.

Songs from Who I Am have appeared in feature films and TV shows including Because of Winn Dixie, Men In Trees, Pepper Dennis and What I Like About You; songs from prior records have made numerous appearances in Dawson’s Creek and Smallville as well as the feature film "Win A Date With Ted Hamilton."

In addition to touring extensively as a solo artist and with other artists including John Mellancamp, Amiee Mann, Toad The Wet Sprocket and Heart among others, Peacock has made many TV and radio stops including a special guest spot on the popular radio show “Prairie Home Companion”.

Besides her musical pursuits, Alice is very socially conscious artist.  She is President of the Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (GRAMMYS), which serves the Midwest region and the founder of Rock For Reading, an Illinois non-profit organization, which raises awareness and resources for reading and literacy programs through high profile music concerts.

Peacock will be returning to the studio this fall to work on her fourth recording with an expected release in spring of 2008.
