Shure Announces EMEA Personal Audio Team

Shure Incorporated today announced details of the newly formed Shure Personal Audio Business Unit (PABU) team for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The announcement follows on the success of the Personal Audio division in the U.S. and aims to maximise Shure's presence in EMEA. Shure's Personal Audio products have already experienced world-wide attention, illustrating the potential for professional quality consumer accessories to leading consumer electronic devices, such as: MP3 players; mobile phones; multimedia laptops; and gaming systems.

"With this explosion of multimedia devices and the consequent demand for high-end accessories, Shure has not only experienced remarkable success in the U.S., but is also witnessing increasing momentum in EMEA," said Mark Karnes, general manager, Shure's Personal Audio Business Unit. "With a targeted push to bring Shure's professional-grade audio accessories to this growing market, Shure is extending the company's highly regarded reputation in the Americas and is solidifying its position as a leading consumer accessories brand worldwide."

Heading up the Shure PABU EMEA team is Kai Lehnert as director personal audio EMEA. Lehnert joins Shure with more than 10 years' marketing experience at companies such as Renault, Thompson Multimedia and Philips.

Kai commented, "Shure is a leading brand in the pro audio arena and our aim is to bring this powerful and well-respected brand to the consumer electronics industry."

Joining Kai's PABU EMEA team is Marketing Manager Nils Proesser, Business Manager Susanne Mueller and Sales & Marketing Coordinator Vanessa Wittkowski. Nils previously held posts of brand manager and senior consultant at Henkel and FTK respectively. Both Susanne and Vanessa have transferred from within Shure. Susanne held posts of customer service specialist and junior sales manager, while Vanessa was the team assistant to the Managing Director and marketing communications team. She also has previous experience as a Project Manager within an advertising agency.

Additional PABU EMEA team members based in the UK are Saffron Wynn-Jones, Jamie McKay and Paul Crognale. Saffron has been promoted to senior marketing communications manager EMEA from her prior role of marketing manager for Shure Distribution UK, where she was responsible for all aspects of marketing within the UK. Jamie has been appointed business development manager with responsibilities for the UK and in Nordic regions, and comes to Shure with a wealth of consumer electronics experience from Sony, Teac, and PNY Technologies. The most recent recruit is Paul, who formerly worked in marketing at Emap, 55DSL (Diesel) and the fashion distribution company Kynetic Art.
