6.2.0
August 20, 2024
Known Issues
- Security Certificates:
- Certificates must be in the PEM (Privacy Enhanced Mail) format
- Certificates must be X.509 certificates and keys: PEM (Base64 ASCII), and DER (binary)
- The CUI may become unresponsive after a firmware update
- Workaround: Try clearing the cache on your browser to re-assert the connection. Please check your web browser for instructions on how to clear the browser cache. A common method of clearing the cache of a browser is Ctrl SHIFT R .
- Browser disconnection: Web browsers connected to our devices maybe disconnected after one hour if no user activity is detected. Refresh the browser to re-establish the connection.
- In AES67 mode - Audio does not pass after changing Dante Device name, followed by a reboot
- ANI22-XLR reverses absolute phase from Analog in to Dante out – workaround is to enable “Invert polarity” for Dante Output
- When exporting Presets using Safari on a Mac OS, the file type is saved incorrectly and must be renamed to .json to be imported

4.2.18
July 22, 2020
Improvement
- Logic improvement
Bug Fixes
- Removed Logic Inverter option. Fixed an issue where there was the potential for a loss of audio after a power cycle when using Static IP setting.
- Failure to clear the encryption key when encryption is disabled
Known Issues
- Factory reset occasionally fails to reset Dante settings and/or fully disable encryption. Solution: Reboot the device if unable to route audio after factory reset
- When exporting Presets using Safari on a Mac OS, the file type is saved incorrectly and must be renamed to .json to be imported
- Shure Audio Encryption is not backwards compatible; all devices must be on version 4.1 firmware to use this feature

4.1.39
February 11, 2020
New Features
- Support for Dante Domain Manager
- Support for Dante Device Lock
- Support for AES67
Improvements
- For enhanced security, first-time user interface access will prompt the user to set up a passphrase. Users have the option of continuing without a passphrase, allowing for Shure Designer configuration software to securely configure the device within a location.
- Passphrase length must be at least 8 characters up to a maximum of 64, all characters allowed
- The passphrase may be disabled after the first login
- Downgrade caution:
- After the 4.1.37 upgrade, the device’s new passphrase (and/or its audio encryption passphrase) might exceed the allowed length of its prior firmware version. In that case, downgrading requires the following procedure to ensure passphrase compatibility:
- Prior to downgrading, log in and disable the passphrase(s) or the change the passphrase(s) to the character length allowed by the prior firmware to be downgraded to.
- Perform the firmware downgrade. Enable passphrase(s) as desired.
- After the 4.1.37 upgrade, the device’s new passphrase (and/or its audio encryption passphrase) might exceed the allowed length of its prior firmware version. In that case, downgrading requires the following procedure to ensure passphrase compatibility:
- Using Designer software:
- When multiple devices at different firmware levels are put into a location using Shure Designer software, the location passphrase for those devices must abide by the length and character set limitations of the older firmware. Advice: Update all devices in the location to the latest firmware in order to use a more robust passphrase.
