Important

  • If you’re currently running IntelliMix Room 1.0, you must update to 2.0 first before installing 3.0 or later
  • To fully configure IntelliMix Room, download and install Shure Designer on a separate computer. Shure does not support installing Designer and IntelliMix Room on the same computer.

New Features and Improvements

  • Added the capability to update IntelliMix Room through Designer Software’s firmware update feature.
  • Added logic device type and EQ contour support for the MXA920 Ceiling Array Microphone.
  • IntelliMix Room now supports Windows 11.
  • Reduced the CPU consumption of the AI Denoiser feature.
  • Reduced the CPU consumption of IntelliMix Room when the Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) and Noise Reduction (NR) features are disabled.
  • Revised the system requirements needed to support IntelliMix Room.
  • Improved the behavior of IntelliMix Room after a paid license has expired. After the grace period, there will be periodic visual and audible license expiration notifications to the user, rather than audio being muted.
  • Added the ability to view the Network Interface Card (NIC) used for license verification within the IntelliMix Room licensing settings page.
  • Improved the user experience to clarify which version of IntelliMix Room was preserved on the computer when canceling an upgrade and performing a “roll back”.
  • Removed Network Throttling as an optional Windows optimization. Instead, Network Throttling is automatically disabled on computer startup. Network Throttling left “on” is known to cause audio performance issues in some scenarios.

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved issues where many audio soundcards connected to the IntelliMix Room host computer could prevent discovery within Designer Software.
  • Resolved issues where audio transmission could be delayed up to 5 minutes after PC restart when using Realtek PC Output devices with Kiosk-type devices.
  • Resolved issues where mute synchronization between IntelliMix Room and the software codec could stop working if the computer was restarted via the removal of the power cable.

Known Issues

  • Packet scanning security software may cause audio performance issues with IntelliMix Room.
  • In order to transition from a trial license to a paid license before trial expiration, the IntelliMix Room endpoint must be deactivated and reactivated. Otherwise, the entire trial license term will be used before the paid license.
  • When renewing a license, IntelliMix Room will use the 90-day grace period of the expired license before activating the new, renewed license. After the grace period ends, the new license will automatically activate and the expiration message in the user interface will disappear.
  • The USB Mute Synchronization and Call Status features do not properly reflect LED statuses when joining third-party meetings from Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) devices.
  • In scenarios where many NICs are connected to the IntelliMix Room host computer, IntelliMix Room may not be discoverable in Designer software. Remove or disable some of the NICs to enable discovery in Designer software.
  • In scenarios where many audio soundcards are connected to the IntelliMix Room host computer, some of the connected devices may be truncated from PC Input or Output list views within Designer Software. Shure recommends removing or disabling the unneeded audio soundcards.
  • Changing the System Name of the host computer after installation of IntelliMix Room also changes the Dante Device name in Dante Controller. The Shure device name stays the same. Changing the Dante Device name can impact audio routes to Dante receive devices.
  • Ensure that the system/device name of the computer running IntelliMix Room is unique and follows Microsoft’s recommendation of 15 characters or less. IntelliMix Room relies on this unique name for proper Shure and Dante network operation.
  • Allowing a system running IntelliMix Room to enter a sleep state can cause issues with IntelliMix Room’s logic and mute synchronization functionality. A restart of the computer resolves the issue.
  • In some scenarios when using Dante Domain Manager with Shure devices, IntelliMix Room may appear as “Dante Locked” regardless of the device permissions set in Dante Domain Manager. In this state, IntelliMix Room networked audio settings cannot be customized. To resolve this, unenroll and reenroll IntelliMix Room within Dante Domain Manager.

Improvements

  • Addressed bug related to compressor
    • When the compressor is set to Heavy, it does not return to normal gain after a loud sound. Afterward, the audio will be much quieter.

Known Issues

  • When connected to iPad via a USB-C cable, the MV7 will pass audio and gain can be adjusted. However, the MOTIV apps will only display ‘external mic’, and the settings screen will not be available. Shure recommends using another device to configure the settings before using with iPad Pro. No adjustments can be made in real-time (except gain) on the Shure MOTIV apps when using an iPad Pro.

Notes

  • User Guide
  • Firmware updates for MV7 are available in the ShurePlus MOTIV app for iOS and Android, as well as the MOTIV Desktop application
  • Shure MV7 is compatible with the following recommended software versions:
    • iOS ShurePlus MOTIV 3.6.5
    • Android ShurePlus MOTIV 3.6.0
    • iOS ShurePlus MOTIV Video 1.7.1
    • Android ShurePlus MOTIV Video 1.7.1
    • ShurePlus MOTIV for Mac and Windows 1.3.1

Improvements

  • Additional bug fix for app crash

Known Issues

  • A small percentage of users may receive a numerical error message while recording, such as “-1” or “66570.” These messages occur when there was an error writing to the device and are related to Apple’s new file system (APFS). One of these errors can occur even if your device has plenty of remaining storage. We recommend clearing up your device storage from the Settings screen, and if that doesn’t resolve the issues, doing a full restore from iTunes, consisting of backing up your device, wiping/restoring to factory settings, and restoring from the backup.
  • If you monitor your recordings with Bluetooth earphones, you may hear artifacts, such as noise, while monitoring. If this occurs, we recommend changing the sample rate of your recordings. Some products may produce artifacts at 44.1 kHz, while others may do so for 48 kHz recordings. Please keep in mind that even if you hear artifacts while monitoring, they will not be present in the recordings themselves.
  • When connected to iPad Pro via a USB-C cable, the MV88+ will pass audio and gain can be adjusted. However, the MOTIV apps will only display ‘external mic’, and the settings screen will not be available. Shure recommends using another device to configure the settings before using with iPad Pro. No adjustments can be made in real-time (except gain) on the Shure MOTIV apps when using an iPad Pro.

New Features

  • Updated support for the ULX-D added hardware revisions

Known Issues

  • ADX5D takes a few seconds longer to discover compared to other networked Shure devices.
  • ULXD4Q receivers’ audio LED in application does not match the hardware’s front panel LEDs during audio summing overloads.
  • Axient and Axient Digital devices managed by an AXT600 with no new frequencies available will show an enabled “New Frequency” button when the button should be disabled.
  • When an external power source is connected to ULXD6 or ULXD8, the “EXT” or “EXTERNAL” text is not displayed in the list view.
  • On certain Android phones running Android 12, the wired ethernet connection is sometimes not detected automatically, if being used.
    • Workaround: reinsert the ethernet adapter, and then relaunch the application after closing it, or simply disable the Wi-Fi.
  • On Samsung Note 20 and S20 Ultra phones, sometimes the channels in the list view do not appear
    • Workaround: Close and relaunch the application.
  • On certain Pixel phones, sometimes device channels do not come back online when the network disconnects and reconnects.
    • Workaround: In list view pull down to refresh the application.

New Features

  • Updated support for the ULX-D added hardware revisions.

Known Issues

  • Currently, ADX5D takes a few seconds longer to discover compared to other networked Shure devices.
  • In some scenarios for Axient Digital receivers, the transmitter device ID does not dynamically update when edited which creates a mismatch between ShurePlus Channels and the Axient Digital receivers.
    • Workaround: Go back to the list view and re-enter the detailed view.
  • In some scenarios, ShurePlus Channels looks like it freezes for a few seconds while in the detailed view of a Shure ADX5D.
    • Workaround: Close and re-launch the application
