Challenge
In 2024, Ricoh planned a significant upgrade to their RICOH BUSINESS INNOVATION LOUNGE TOKYO. This facility is central to their co-creation digital transformation (DX) efforts, providing a space where clients can experience cutting-edge technology and collaborate on new ideas. The Climbers Lounge, an executive briefing center within the facility, required top-quality audio and visual equipment to support both in-person and remote interactions.
Solution
Previously, the RICOH BUSINESS INNOVATION LOUNGE TOKYO used MXA910 ceiling array microphones to facilitate high-quality remote meetings. For the new Climbers Lounge, designed to make visitors feel at ease, the MXA920 ceiling array microphone was chosen. Two units were installed, integrated with camera tracking systems that allows for effortless conversation with remote participants without having to be mindful of the microphones.
Advantages
The installation of Shure's MXA920 microphones in the Climbers Lounge provided a natural and seamless communication experience. The microphones' superior audio capture and clarity allow participants to converse effortlessly, whether they are present physically or remotely. The clear audio data is also beneficial for developing innovative solutions using AI technologies like natural language processing. The Voice Lift feature and other advanced technologies have been effective, leading Ricoh to plan further utilization of Shure's products to support the growing needs of the Climbers Lounge.
