Hitting her stride on tour for her new release, Kaleidoscope Heart, Sara is as confident as ever onstage. She has a great band, a great crew, and is having a great time performing GREAT music!!
Tonight, she was on a great stage, the historic Ryman Auditorium. She felt so confident that she and her band took a chance and performed a song with no mics or sound reinforcement. The crowd went right along with her as she and the group performed a beautiful, totally acoustic version of Radiohead's "Nice Dream." It was so quiet in the building as they performed, you could hear the feet of whatever ghosts are still hanging around the Ryman tapping along with them. Her gamble paid off with a standing ovation. Well done Sara!
She played all the fav's from the Little Voice as well as her latest CD. Prior to the show, I was delighted to have the opportunity to get a video interview with Sara, which will soon be up on Shure.com once edited. She gave a great "Shout Out" to her band and crew, sighting them as her daily inspiration while out on the road.
She is using the Beta 57A for her vocals and the new PSM900 Personal Stereo Monitors for her and the bands ear systems. FOH Engineer Trey Smith does a fantastic job of dialing her in!
Thanks to all for a wonderful show and the great hospitality!
