Improvements
- Added support for updating GLX-D devices, including
- GLXD1 - Bodypack transmitters
- GLXD2 - Handheld transmitters
- GLXD4 - Baggable receiver
- GLXD6 - Guitar Pedal receiver
Known Issues
- Microflex Wireless devices running version 1.X firmware must first be updated to version 2.0.5 before being updated to version 3.X or later.
Notes
- Simultaneous updating more than one GLX-D device is not supported.
- Installing the Shure Update Utility on Windows machines will prompt the installation of a USB driver in addition to the original application. This driver must be installed to support updating USB devices, like GLX-D.
- The use of USB hubs is not recommended when performing updates to GLX-D devices. Always connect a GLX-D device directly to a USB terminal of the computer running the Shure Update Utility.
- This version of the Shure Update Utility is compatible with the following other versions of software applications:
- Wireless Workbench 6.11.0
Firmware
1.6.7

Important
- ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers running firmware prior to 1.4.8 must be updated to 1.4.8 before updating to newer versions.
- ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers running firmware between 1.4.8 and 2.0.28 must be updated to 2.0.28 before updating to newer versions.
- After 2.0.28 is installed, ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers can be updated to the latest available firmware version.
- ULX-D devices that are downgrading to 1.5.6 may report a false failure.
- Workaround: Because this is a false failure, closing the send updates window and going to the main page, Shure Update Utility will show green for the firmware version.
Improvements
- Minor bug fixes to support firmware updates with the Shure Update Utility.
Notes
- For operation of ULX-D devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with ULX-D version 1.6.7:
- ULX-D ULXD1/2 Transmitters and ULXD4, ULXD4D, ULXD4Q Receivers 1.5.6
- Axient AXT400 Receivers and AXT600 Spectrum Managers 1.15.3
- Wireless Workbench 6 version 6.10.3

These release notes cover the following models:
- MXWNCS4/8 Networked Chargers
- MXWANI4/8 Audio Network Interfaces
- MXWAPT4/8 Access Point Transceivers
- MXW1/2/6/8 Wireless Microphones
IMPROVEMENTS
- Fixed an MXW Access Point Transceiver Bug related to a port scanning protocol that caused MXW devices to require a power cycle to return to normal operation.
KNOWN ISSUES
- Transmitters will fail to update when updated through a charger (MXWNCS) running a different firmware version than the transmitters. In order to properly update transmitters, follow these steps:
- Ensure that the charger’s firmware version matches the current transmitter firmware version. NOTE: This may require a firmware downgrade of the charger’s firmware, which can be performed using the Shure Update Utility.
- Update the firmware of the transmitters only (NOT the charger) to the latest available version.
- Update the firmware of the charger to the latest available version.
NOTES
- SCM820 is compatible with, but unaffected by 3.1
