Shure Celebrates Grand Opening Of Hyderabad Office – The Company’s First Software Development Center In India
HYDERABAD, INDIA, Dec. 5, 2019—Shure Incorporated, a U.S.-based global market leader in microphones and audio electronics, has expanded its presence in India by establishing a new facility in Hyderabad, Telangana. This is the second Shure facility in India, after the Company opened a sales and marketing office in Bangalore in 2018.
The new Hyderabad location marks the fifth global Shure Engineering Center dedicated to product development and software excellence, joining Copenhagen, Denmark; Edinburgh, Scotland; Niles, Illinois, USA; and Suzhou, China. Located in the tech hub of the city, this new facility will provide software intelligence that will help Shure expand its product portfolio.
Attendees at the grand opening included the Honorable Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Industries, and IT & Commerce, Mr. Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao; Mr. Jayesh Ranjan; Mr. V. Rajanna, TCS Sr. Vice President & Global Head – Technology Business Unit; Shure President and CEO Christine Schyvinck; Dr. Avinash Vaidya, Shure Executive Vice President of Product Development and Chief Technology Officer, as well as other noble dignitaries and Shure Executive Staff members and Associates based in Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Hyderabad engineers have been working closely with the Shure Product Development Division since 2013. The Hyderabad team played a large part in the development and system verification of the software that has come to power many of Shure’s recent product releases.
“Over the last number of years, software has become an increasingly critical aspect of the value proposition of Shure products, not to mention an unquestionable enabler of hardware sales,” said Dr. Vaidya. “Our valued Hyderabad engineers have played and will continue to play a key role in our strategy to support the continued maturation of Shure’s software capabilities. They will help us achieve our strategic growth goals by providing the software acumen we need to expand our product portfolio for the digital era.”
The Hyderabad Engineering Center will focus on software design, development, and quality testing for products across Shure’s vertical businesses worldwide. Hyderabad engineers will be involved with processes and applications to support, develop, and enhance Shure product innovation.
