Bayer Boosts Collaboration with Shure Microflex® Advance

Leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical company Bayer has unveiled cutting edge AV systems throughout its new UK headquarters in Green Park, Reading. Working with MiX Consultancy and Focus 21 to create collaborative spaces, meeting rooms, and presentation suites at the heart of the four-storey premises, the company needed a conferencing audio system for its largest and most adaptable new meeting space. Shure Microflex Advance was chosen as the solution.

The biggest of the new meeting spaces created in the refit was  designed to be divisible into a number of rooms or used as one large  'Town Hall' space as required. The size and flexible dimensions of the  space created a challenge when it came to specifying a networked  conference audio solution that could capture and transmit clear,  intelligible audio.

The main meeting room was fitted with a Microflex® Wireless AV  Conferencing system. Two Microflex® Advance™ MXA910 ceiling array  microphones were also deployed in the main meeting space.

The captured audio from the networked Microflex Wireless system is  routable throughout the building and beyond via the in-house corporate  LAN, making for maximum flexibility. The MXA910 ceiling arrays feature  Shure’s Steerable Coverage™ technology, which uses up to eight separate  sotware-steerable pickup lobes to accurately capture sound sources  irrespective of their position relative to the array. This has proved  perfect for high-quality audio capture from anywhere in the meeting  space, irrespective of how it is configured.
