Important
- Update all GLX-D devices in a configuration to the same firmware version.
- To update or downgrade GLXD4 receivers, use Shure Update Utility version 2.4.3 and download the appropriate firmware.
Improvement
- Bug fix
Known Issue
- After attempting to downgrade GLX-D devices from version 2.2.6 to version 2.0.0.1, Shure Update Utility will maintain the same version number followed by an asterisk (*) and incorrectly state in the Event Log that the firmware failed to install. The firmware downgrade will actually be successful.
Notes
- To operate GLXD4 version 2.2.6 devices with other Shure software, see the following list of minimum versions:
- GLXD1/2 Transmitters 2.2.6
- GLX-D GLXD4/4R/6 Receivers 2.2.6
- UA846Z2 Frequency Manager 2.2.6

2.2.5
March 29, 2017
Important
- Update all GLX-D devices in a configuration to the same firmware version.
- To update or downgrade GLXD4 receivers, use Shure Update Utility version 2.4.3 and download the appropriate firmware.
Improvement
- Changed the version number for GLXD4/6 receivers to 2.2.5 to allow all GLX-D devices in a configuration with GLXD4R and UA846Z2 devices to have the same firmware version.
Notes
- GLX-D devices on firmware version 2.0.0.1 or higher are not compatible with earlier versions.
- If you have GLXD4 version 2.1 and update to version 2.2.5, you will not be able to downgrade back to version 2.1.
- To operate GLXD4 version 2.2.5 with other Shure software, see the following list of minimum versions:
- GLXD1/2 Transmitters 2.2.5
- GLX-D GLXD4/4R/6 Receivers 2.2.5
- UA846Z2 Frequency Manager 2.2.5

2.0.0
May 12, 2016
Sept. 24, 2018: New GLX-D version 2.0.0.1 firmware files are available on Shure Update Utility. If you need to downgrade to version 2.0.0.1, use Shure Update Utility version 2.4.3 and download the current GLX-D version 2.0.0.1.
New Feature
- Single User Group: A single user can find the best possible frequencies through a new group named Group 4, which transmits on three frequencies, like all other groups, but has 27 backups to provide the system with the ultimate flexibility for a single user in harsh environments.
Improvements
- Scanning Accuracy: The receiver more accurately models the RF environment and chooses the best starting point when you select the Channel button to scan or the Group button to choose a new group. As with the previous firmware version, the system will continue to adjust as needed within that particular channel on any group with backup frequencies. Note that you may notice the scan takes slightly longer than with previous firmware versions.
- Improved audio stability in marginal RF conditions.
Notes
- GLX-D devices on firmware version 2.0.0.1 or higher are not compatible with earlier versions. Ensure all GLX-D devices in a configuration have the same firmware version.
- For operation of GLX-D devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with GLX-D version 2.0.0.1:
- Shure Update Utility 2.2.1
