Improvements

  • Bug fixes

Known Issues

  • A small percentage of users may receive a numerical error message while recording, such as “-1” or “66570.” These messages occur when there was an error writing to the device and are related to Apple’s new file system (APFS). One of these errors can occur even if your device has plenty of remaining storage. We recommend clearing up your device storage from the Settings screen, and if that doesn’t resolve the issues, doing a full restore from iTunes, consisting of backing up your device, wiping/restoring to factory settings, and restoring from the backup.
  • If you monitor your recordings with Bluetooth earphones, you may hear artifacts, such as noise, while monitoring. If this occurs, we recommend changing the sample rate of your recordings. Some products may produce artifacts at 44.1 kHz, while others may do so for 48 kHz recordings. Please keep in mind that even if you hear artifacts while monitoring, they will not be present in the recordings themselves.
  • When connected to iPad Pro via a USB-C cable, the MV88+ will pass audio and gain can be adjusted. However, the MOTIV apps will only display ‘external mic’, and the settings screen will not be available. Shure recommends using another device to configure the settings before using with iPad Pro. No adjustments can be made in real time (except gain) on the Shure MOTIV apps when using an iPad Pro.

Known Issues

  • When using a virtual machine, it’s recommended to dedicate hardware resources (HD, RAM, etc.) to the SystemOn application; using shared resources may cause Shure services to not start on reboot

  • Discovering MXW microphones may take more than 1 minute
  • UTC time and date are displayed on Event Log and Email/SMS notifications.
  • For users setting up SMS notifications, the Senders Phone Number field does not show the required (*), but the field is required.

Software
2.0.2

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved issues regarding network errors encountered during computer power up that could prevent IntelliMix Room from starting up correctly and being discovered in Designer software
  • Resolved issues regarding demo licenses becoming deactivated without persistent internet connection for 7 days.
  • Resolved issues where IntelliMix Room could not be discovered for up to 5 minutes after the IntelliMix Room host computer was restarted without internet access.
  • Resolved issues where improper prompts were shown to the user when attempting to activate an IntelliMix Room endpoint with a license ID without enough available licenses.

Known Issues

  • Packet scanning security software may cause audio performance issues with IntelliMix Room.
  • Presets saved while using IntelliMix Room 2.x or later cannot be used with IntelliMix Room 1.0.4.2.
  • In order to transition from a trial license to a paid license before trial expiration, the IntelliMix Room endpoint must be deactivated and reactivated. Otherwise, the entire trial license term will be used before the paid license.
  • When using Dante Domain Manager (DDM) and the configuration for the device is set to “prevent” or the DDM server is offline, you can still upgrade IntelliMix Room.
  • Changing the System Name of the host computer after installation of IntelliMix Room also changes the Dante Device name in Dante Controller. The Shure device name stays the same. This does not affect device performance and can be ignored.
  • Ensure that the system/device name of the computer running IntelliMix Room is unique and follows Microsoft’s recommendation of 15 characters or less. IntelliMix Room relies on this unique name for proper Shure and Dante network operation.
  • IntelliMix Room occasionally uses more resources on Dell XPS Laptops.
  • Certain Bluetooth devices may not persist in the PC Input/Output device dropdown selection after a restart of the computer. Audio will still pass.
  • If you adjust certain networked audio properties (networked audio device name, encryption state, license channel count), IntelliMix Room briefly goes offline in Designer.
  • In some scenarios, the computer running IntelliMix Room must be rebooted after a Zoom Rooms update occurs on the same computer.
  • If using the built-in Realtek driver for a PC input or output device in IntelliMix Room, you may need to reselect the PC input or output device after updating the Realtek driver. Realtek drivers are commonly included in Windows updates.
  • In some scenarios where PowerShell is not configured properly on a computer, IntelliMix Room will fail to install and warn the user that there no solid-state drive (SSD) detected, even if the system drive is an SSD. If this occurs, confirm PowerShell is listed in your system “PATH” environment variables and retry the installation.
  • In some scenarios, an asterisk will appear next to the version number of IntelliMix Room in Designer Software. This does not impact functionality of either piece of software and can be ignored.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Windows reported the wrong gain setting when the device was connected
  • Fixed an issue where the microphone wouldn’t remain muted when the bit depth was changed

Known Issues

  • Users with some Android devices may experience 9 millisecond audio dropouts when recording with the MV88+
  • When connected to iPad via a USB-C cable, the MV88+ will pass audio and gain can be adjusted. However, the MOTIV apps will only display ‘external mic’, and the settings screen will not be available. Shure recommends using another device to configure the settings before using with iPad Pro. No adjustments can be made in real time (except gain) on the Shure MOTIV apps when using an iPad Pro.
