Firmware
4.7.6

Improvements

  • Bug fixes

Known Issues

  • In AES67 mode - Audio does not pass after changing Dante Device name, followed by a reboot
  • ANI22-XLR reverses absolute phase from Analog in to Dante out – workaround is to enable “Invert polarity” for Dante Output
  • When exporting Presets using Safari on a Mac OS, the file type is saved incorrectly and must be renamed to .json to be imported
  • Shure Audio Encryption is not backward compatible; all devices must be on version 4.1 firmware to use this feature
  • When attempting to load the device’s web page after using SUU to upgrade or downgrade between MXA 4.3 and earlier releases, the browser may appear to be stuck on the “Loading” screen with the progress bar continually moving.
    • Workaround: hold your Shift key and click the Refresh button in your browser (or press Ctrl+Shift+R [Win]/Ctrl+F5 [Win]/Cmd+Shift+R [Mac]; note the keyboard shortcut doesn't work on Safari)

Improvements

  • Bug fixes

Known Issues

  • When one Unmute/Mute LED light color is set to White at 100% Brightness while the other Unmute/Mute light is set to Off, it may cause the button to freeze or the device mute state to spontaneously change. Lowering the device LED brightness alleviates this issue.

Bug Fixes

  • In certain environments, user is unable to add cross-subnet devices using Add by IP feature
  • In the transmitter tab, ULXD transmitters display Battery health = 255% and Cycle count = 65535 when using non-Shure batteries
  • In the Monitoring view, ULXD transmitter battery status will display number of remaining minutes when below 15 minutes and it should display Empty
  • In certain network environments, when using 500 or more devices, some devices will not be discovered

Pre-Upgrade Requirements

  • Designer and SystemOn cannot be installed on the same computer
  • Internet access is no longer required during the installation process; however, use of certain features like firmware updating and text notifications require internet access
  • After upgrading SystemOn, clear your browser cache on the device accessing the SystemOn server, then re-assign your licenses to your devices by navigating to your organization > Licenses > Start managing
  • SystemOn and Designer applications cannot be installed on the same computer; do not attempt to install one over the other
  • Before updating firmware, turn off “Device Missing” notifications, then turn them back on after completing the firmware updates

Platform Requirements

  • Supported Operating Systems
    • Windows Server 2019
    • Windows 10 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition
  • Supported Web Browsers
    • Chrome
    • Safari
    • Windows Edge
  • Hardware Minimum Requirements
    • 8 GB RAM (16 GB may be required when hundreds of devices are being accessed)
    • 2 GB hard disk
    • i5 dual-core processor

Known Issues

  • When using a virtual machine, it’s recommended to dedicate hardware resources (HD, RAM, etc.) to the SystemOn application; using shared resources may cause Shure services to not start on reboot
  • When a device is being firmware updated, it will appear offline during the update in SystemOn
  • Discovering MXW microphones may take longer than 1 minute
  • UTC time and date are displayed on Event Log and Email/SMS notifications
  • For users setting up SMS notifications, the Senders Phone Number field does not show the required (*), but the field is required
  • If a valid license activation ID is applied and fails on the first attempt, please try again before calling support

Notes

  • User Guide
  • To update firmware, please download Shure Update Utility
  • This version of SystemOn is compatible with the following recommended software and firmware versions:
    • IntelliMix Room 3.3.0

New Features

  • Added support for the MXA920 Ceiling Array Microphone
  • IntelliMix Room remote firmware update
  • IntelliMix Room Long Lease Handling

Improvements

  • Misconfigured devices are discoverable, but not configurable, to help identify network configuration issues
  • Improved Firmware mismatch handling between virtual and live devices
  • Device firmware package files are now stored in the same file location as Shure Update Utility

Bug Fixes

  • User is unable to export project files after upgrading from Designer 4.5 to 4.6
  • If devices in a room are missing from the network, user is unable to open the room
  • No IntelliMix Room input channel meters are displayed after user mutes the Automix Out channel
  • P300 PEQ filter 1 default value was set to Low cut
  • In certain environments, installing Designer 4.5 would require PC Administrator rights during installation (Error 10 indication displayed)

Pre-Upgrade Requirements

  • Requires Windows 10 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition
  • This version of Designer is currently supported on PC only
  • Multiple versions of Designer cannot be installed on the same computer
  • Designer and SystemOn cannot be installed on the same computer

Upgrade Path

  • Designer versions 3.0 and 3.1 must be upgraded to 3.2 first, before upgrading to this version of Designer. Download Designer 3.2 here.
  • If you encounter an Installer failure during upgrade, allow the uninstaller process to finish, then restart installation
  • Export project files before upgrading Designer
  • Certain endpoint protection software may block the application, if you encounter this anomaly, whitelist the Designer installer or application

Known Issues

  • Dragging the PEQ filter curve rapidly for a long time will produce a delayed user response when using certain devices (MXA310, MXA910, MXA710, MXN5-C)
    • Workaround: Slow down drag and drop processes or manually key-in PEQ filter values
  • On the Coverage page when a device is selected and the property panel is visible, "Valid range" dialog numbers change when user clicks the +/- buttons on device height
  • When adjusting the device height on the Coverage Map, the Talker Height value may momentarily display a 0.01 meter change before settling.

Notes

  • User Guide
  • To update firmware, please download Shure Update Utility
