Improvements

  • Bug fixes

Known Issues

  • QLXD does not automatically reboot after factory reset, preventing settings from being applied.
    • Workaround: send reboot request after factory reset request
  • On large networks of 100+ devices, first queries of devices may return a “deadline exceeded” error. To work around, query the devices again.
  • Subscriptions to AudioChannelGainEvent will return duplicative responses for MXA901, MXA902, and MXA920 devices.
  • Subscriptions to FirmwareUpdateProgressEvent on MXA310 will skip TRANSFERRING_FILES and INSTALLING stages. Only PENDING and COMPLETE will be returned.
  • Subscriptions to UserPresetEvent will return duplicative responses upon a save event.
  • Attempting to set channel mute to false for MXWAPXD2 will return a 500 instead of a 400 error.
    • Workaround: To configure an individual channel mute state, do so via the mute properties of the transmitter.

Software
6.3.0

Important

  • To fully configure IntelliMix Room, download and install Shure Designer on a separate computer. Shure does not support installing Designer and IntelliMix Room on the same computer.
  • Please use the most recent version of Designer with IntelliMix Room. IntelliMix Room 6.3 is incompatible with Designer versions prior to 6.2.
  • When updating to IntelliMix Room 6.2 from previous versions, transmit audio routes from IntelliMix Room may fail to resolve. Please see this FAQ for more information.
  • System API Standalone may have different functionality from the System API version installed with IntelliMix Room. For full System API functionality, please download the latest version of System API Standalone here and provision the server onto a different computer.

Improvements

  • IntelliMix Room is now discoverable as a device in Shure Cloud.
  • Users can steal devices from other rooms in Room Setup.
  • Installer optimization for faster IntelliMix Room installations and upgrades
  • Bug fixes
    • Resolved: .NET versions other than 6.x prevents or corrupts IntelliMix Room Installation
    • Resolved: IMXR password with special characters cannot be used on upgrade from 4.2.0.73 to 6.X

Known Issues

  • Shure Cloud can't discover IntelliMix Room when performing "scan local network" from a host other than IntelliMix Room host system.
    • Workaround: use “SN and MAC” or “CSV file upload” to add multiple IntelliMix Room devices into your Shure Cloud device manager.
  • When Windows is configured in German, audio may not pass to Teams / Zoom after upgrading from IntelliMix Room 4.2 to 6.2.
    • Workaround: uninstall and reinstall IntelliMix Room 6.2
  • The VUSB driver may be disabled after upgrading from 4.2 to 6.x
    • Workaround: In Device Manager manually enable the Shure Intellimix Virtual USB Device driver. This configuration will persist on subsequent reboots.
  • Changing the System Name of the host computer after installation of IntelliMix Room also changes the Dante Device name in Dante Controller. The Shure device name stays the same. Changing the Dante Device name can impact audio routes to Dante receive devices.
  • Allowing a system running IntelliMix Room to enter a sleep state can cause issues with IntelliMix Room’s logic and mute synchronization functionality
    • Workaround: restart your computer
  • In some scenarios when using Dante Domain Manager with Shure devices, IntelliMix Room may appear as “Dante Locked” regardless of the device permissions set in Dante Domain Manager. In this state, IntelliMix Room networked audio settings cannot be customized.
    • Workaround: unenroll and reenroll IntelliMix Room within Dante Domain Manager

Known Issues

  • If an ANIUSB, MXA310, MXN5-C is added to a Dante Domain the device appears as locked in Designer even when the controller permissions allow users to make changes. The user is unable to deploy, enable encryption or make any Dante related changes.
    • Workaround: Remove device from the Dante Domain, perform needed tasks such as deploy, update Dante properties, etc., and then add the device back to the domain
  • The Room preset slot does not properly detect a conflict state when a missing device which comes back online has different preset name in slot 1 when compared to other online devices in the room.
    • Workaround: Quit the application using activity monitor and relaunch the application
  • In Virtual mode, device discovery may be unstable when number of devices exceeds 30.
    • Workaround: Limit device deployment to 30 in a room
  • Users may be presented with error indication “this action is not allowed in the schematic input  & output pages” of the P300 SDC (virtual or online).
    • Workaround: Update names to valid setting.
  • Users may be unable to configure ANIUSB, MXA310, or MXN-C devices while they are in a Dante Domain Manager (DDM)

      • Click on “Open selected rooms”
      • All rooms selected are now opened in their own tab
      • All room files are stored in my_rooms>/<your_project_name>/<room_name>.rdf

Known Issues

  • Defect Description: Under heavy load in a larger network with ANIUSB, MXA920-S, MXN5-C, and MXA-MUTE, it may take over 10 seconds to auto route the virtual devices.
    • Workaround: Relaunch auto route task
  • Designer may freeze on MacOS with Sonoma and Windows 10, if left idle for a long duration (e.g. overnight), and user is not able perform any operation in application
    • Workaround: Quit the application using activity monitor and relaunch the application
  • Automatic conflict resolution is not happening in empty online rooms. This issue occurs after clearing an offline room (room containing only offline P300 and MXA310 devices). If an online device is added to the previously cleared empty room and a removed offline device comes back online, the room will enter the conflicted state and not resolve automatically.
    • Workaround: Plug back device to get authenticated to exhibit proper icon
  • Devices that use the Audinate Dante Ultimo platform appear locked when in a Domain. Whenever an ANIUSB, MXA310, MXN5-C device is added to a DDM domain it appears as locked even when the controller permissions allow users to make changes. The user is unable to deploy, enable encryption or make any Dante related changes.
    • Workaround: Remove device from domain, perform needed tasks such as deploy, update Dante properties, etc., and then add back to domain
  • Creating a room and adding devices, setting a password, and then attempting to import presets for an individual device creates an authentication loop where the user no longer can access the device.
    • Workaround: Restart Designer
  • When adding virtual devices into a room, deploying 60 devices may cause Device Discovery to crash
    • Workaround: Deployment should be done without delay
  • Only one room is displayed in Online rooms list when multiple devices with same room are created
  • The preset slot should get into conflict state because the missing device which is back online has different preset name in slot 1 when compared to other online devices in the room.
  • When using auto position for MXA920-S, if the user starts and cancels the listen operation prior to auto position completing, the auto position may fail.
  • When a design file in Designer 6.1 with MXA710 (with presets saved) is opened in Designer 6.2, rotation value is not retained.
  • Devices password state changed to locked state even if they are unlocked in set password step during deployment
  • The following devices are getting initialized after downgrade: MXA-Mute, MXA310, MXA910, MXA920-S, MXN5-C, IMXR and P300

Bug Fixes

  • Files from the Anritsu spectrum analyzer (.spa format) now import successfully even when no device model is included in the file data
  • For ULXD receivers, the encryption mode will now display correctly after merging virtual devices with online devices.
  • When using Timeline for devices in Frequency Diversity mode, separate events are logged only for channels that have a change to the FD Lock state
  • Fixed various issues involving Axient Digital in FD-C mode, including mixed use of the frequency and group/channel widgets and deploying frequencies to virtual devices
  • ULX-D receivers updating from firmware 2.0.28 or earlier no longer trigger a Settings Conflict in WWB
  • A virtual and online device with different transmission mode settings can now be merged and resolved with settings conflicts dialog like any other device property
  • WWB no longer creates extra Event Log entries with device parameters and values as that device comes online
  • WWB no longer erroneously displays an empty frequency list in certain circumstances after deploying frequencies to a spectrum manager, disconnecting from the network and deleting all inventory.

Known Issues

  • When Monitor-only mode enabled and application closed, double clicking a show file to launch the app may not open successfully.
    • Workaround: Close and relaunch WWB. Go to File > Load show file to open the file
  • SLX Analog and ULX Analog frequencies in Master List mode cannot be manually entered in the Coordination Workspace. They can, however, be coordinated and analyzed.

Notes

  • User Guide
  • WWB 6.15.x and WWB7 can be installed on the same machine but cannot run at the same time.
  • The following features are no longer supported in WWB7 (please use WWB 6.15.x if these features are required):
    • Online UHF-R control and monitoring
    • Frequency Conversion (e.g., converting a J50 receiver to J50A).
    • Import and export inventory
  • Opening show files created with older versions of Wireless Workbench may result in the Settings Conflicts dialog opening once the file has loaded. This is due to newly supported hardware parameters that have been introduced with updated firmware versions. To maintain all settings from the show file, select "Keep all settings from: Wireless Workbench."

Known Issues

  • The app may crash when connecting or disconnecting Ethernet while the Event Log is open.
    • Workaround: Close the Event Log before connecting or disconnecting hardwired Ethernet.
  • When updating SLX-D receivers and transmitters at the same time, the update may fail on the first try.
    • Workaround: Retry the update or update each device individually to successfully update the devices.
  • Shure Update Utility will fail to discover on first connection an ADX5D on Mac M1 machines running macOS Monterey 12.
    • Workaround: Update to macOS Ventura 13 or higher or restart your Mac computer and ADX5D will successfully be discovered.
  • SUU fails to launch after installation on macOS Ventura 13 or macOS Sonoma 14.
    • Workaround: Navigate to System Settings -> Privacy and Security, scroll down to SUU notification, click on Open Anyway, and enter the password.
  • Device discovery is delayed by up to 20 seconds when the device network includes GLX-D+ receivers running version 2.0.17 or previous.
    • Solution: Update to 2.0.18 version.
  • ULX-D devices running versions prior to 1.4.8 must be updated to 1.4.8 first before updating to 2.0.28. After 2.0.28 is installed, ULX-D devices can be updated to the latest available firmware version.  See ULX-D Firmware Update and Issues.
  • ULX-D devices that are downgrading to 1.5.6 may report a false failure.
    • Workaround: Because this is a false failure, closing the send updates window and going to the main page, Shure Update Utility will show green for the firmware version.
  • Microflex Wireless devices running versions prior to 5.2.2 must be updated to 5.2.2 first before updating to a later firmware version.

Important

  • In most cases, you should install the latest version of Shure Update Utility to update your devices. However, certain legacy devices require older versions of SUU or a different tool:
  • Note: Installing SUU 2.4.8 or SUU 2.4.1 will replace the most recent version of SUU on your machine.
