Software
4.7.2

Bug Fixes

  • Resolved intermittent error condition associated with upgrading Designer from version 4.6.0 to 4.7.0 using network drives as the home drive
  • Resolved a persistent anomaly in which a MXA710 device configured as ceiling mount in the Routing page is visually presented as wall mount in the Coverage page

Pre-Upgrade Requirements

  • Requires one of the following operating systems:
    • Windows 10 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition
    • Windows 11 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition
  • This version of Designer is currently supported on PC only
  • Multiple versions of Designer cannot be installed on the same computer
  • Designer and SystemOn cannot be installed on the same computer

Upgrade Path

  • Designer versions 3.0 and 3.1 must be upgraded to 3.2 first, before upgrading to this version of Designer. Download Designer 3.2 here.
  • If you encounter an Installer failure during upgrade, allow the uninstaller process to finish, then restart installation
  • Export project files before upgrading Designer
  • Certain endpoint protection software may block the application, if you encounter this anomaly, whitelist the Designer installer or application

Known Issues

  • Dragging the PEQ filter curve rapidly for a long time will produce a delayed user response when using certain devices (MXA310, MXA910, MXA710, MXN5-C)
    • Workaround: Slow down drag and drop processes or manually key-in PEQ filter values
  • On the Coverage page when a device is selected and the property panel is visible, "Valid range" dialog numbers change when user clicks the +/- buttons on device height
  • When adjusting the device height on the Coverage Map, the Talker Height value may momentarily display a 0.01 meter change before settling.

Notes

  • User Guide
  • To update firmware, please download Shure Update Utility
  • Project files and database are not backward compatible with versions prior to 4.5

    • IntelliMix Room 3.3.0
    • ANIUSB-MATRIX 4.7.16

App
3.7.2

Improvements

  • Addressed issues related to recording crashes
  • Additional bug fixes

Known Issues

  • A small percentage of users may receive a numerical error message while recording, such as “-1” or “66570.” These messages occur when there was an error writing to the device and are related to Apple’s new file system (APFS). One of these errors can occur even if your device has plenty of remaining storage. We recommend clearing up your device storage from the Settings screen, and if that doesn’t resolve the issues, doing a full restore from iTunes, consisting of backing up your device, wiping/restoring to factory settings, and restoring from the backup.
  • If you monitor your recordings with Bluetooth earphones, you may hear artifacts, such as noise, while monitoring. If this occurs, we recommend changing the sample rate of your recordings. Some products may produce artifacts at 44.1 kHz, while others may do so for 48 kHz recordings. Please keep in mind that even if you hear artifacts while monitoring, they will not be present in the recordings themselves.
  • When connected to iPad Pro via a USB-C cable, the MV88+ will pass audio and gain can be adjusted. However, the MOTIV apps will only display ‘external mic’, and the settings screen will not be available. Shure recommends using another device to configure the settings before using with iPad Pro. No adjustments can be made in real-time (except gain) on the Shure MOTIV apps when using an iPad Pro.

Notes

Firmware
1.3.220

Bug Fixes

  • When Automatic Coverage is turned OFF, changing presets will now include Filter Q and Width
  • Talker position coordinate accuracy provided via TCP/IP command strings is improved in cases where the talker’s Z coordinate exceeds the MXA920 array height

  • Channel Names are not set in the initial attempt of ‘push-to-Dante’.  Dante interface resets when Device Name is set.  Workaround: Channel Names are set on the 2nd attempt.
  • Talker Position Events are published for any talker in a coverage area, regardless of the mute status of that area

Firmware
1.1.2

Improvements

  • Support for added hardware revisions
    • Please update all the existing SLX-D receivers and transmitters to keep the system components in sync
    • To find out if you have revised hardware, go to the transmitter “About” menu to check the transmitter hardware version. It could show “Hardware: Rxx”, “HW: RxxREV1”, or “HW: VxxREV2”. The “REV2” indicates the revised hardware.
    • For transmitters with hardware version “VxxREV2”, the receivers must also be updated to version 1.1.2 to work with the transmitter
  • Fixed an issue where the transmitter passes audio shortly after docked in the charger

Notes

  • User guide
  • To operate this version of SLX-D with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of recommended versions:
    • Wireless Workbench 6.15.0
    • Shure Update Utility 2.7.1
