Important
- In most cases, you should install the latest version of Shure Update Utility to update your devices. Certain legacy devices require older versions of SUU, though:
- Use Shure Update Utility 2.4.8 to update firmware on UHF-R, SHA900, KSE1500, and GLX-D systems or for 32-bit support.
- Use Shure Update Utility 2.4.1 to update firmware on PSM1000 systems running firmware 1.1.0 or earlier.
- Use the MXC Firmware installer to update MXC products, including DIS-CCU.
- Use the DFR22 Software and a PC running Windows 8.1 or earlier to update a DFR22.
- Update Motiv and Aonic devices with their mobile or desktop apps.
- Note: SUU 2.4.8 and SUU 2.4.1 will replace the most recent version of SUU on your machine.
New Features
- Remote Device Discovery: A new tab has been added to the preferences in the network setting to allow users to enter in IP addresses that are in different subnets to allow discovery and updating.
- Identify: A new update to the right click context menu in the device list has been added called Identify which flashes the front panel of the device.
- Firmware and Network Summary Report: A new option underneath View in the menu tool bar has been added to generate a report that contains computer and device information.
- No Device Connected Empty State: Upon opening the application, if users have no devices connected, they will be greeted with an empty state that allows them to easily access their network settings to change the network which has their devices on.
Improvements
- Enhanced UI performance, stability, and bug fixes.
Known Issues
- ULX-D devices running versions prior to 1.5.6 must be updated to 1.5.6 first before updating to a later firmware version.

New Features
- MV88+ Mute during playback
- Light/Dark Mode
Improvements
- New app design
- Bug fixes
- Specific fixes for saving recordings
Known Issues
- The FPS and resolution combinations available for selection will vary based on the user’s phone.
- If you monitor your recordings with Bluetooth earphones, you may hear artifacts, such as noise, while monitoring. If this occurs, we recommend changing the sample rate of your recordings. Some products may produce artifacts at 44.1 kHz, while others may do so for 48 kHz recordings. Please keep in mind that even if you hear artifacts while monitoring, they will not be present in the recordings themselves.

Important
- If you’re currently running IntelliMix Room 1.0, you must update to 2.0 first before installing 3.0
Improvements
- Changed the recommended and minimum hardware specifications needed to run IntelliMix Room
- Improved IntelliMix Room license verification to only require activation with the internet one time
- Extended device password protection to the System Tray Application
- Added the ability for users to restore PC optimizations upon uninstallation of IntelliMix Room
- Added support for Windows 10 Education and Windows 10 Pro Education
- Fixed crashing issues that happened due to port conflicts with other software or hardware interfaces
- Improved the stability of the IntelliMix Room installer when targeting non-English Windows 10 editions
- General stability improvements preventing issues with IntelliMix Room during computer startup
Known Issues
- Packet scanning security software may cause audio performance issues with IntelliMix Room.
- In order to transition from a trial license to a paid license before trial expiration, the IntelliMix Room endpoint must be deactivated and reactivated. Otherwise, the entire trial license term will be used before the paid license.
- When using Dante Domain Manager (DDM) and the configuration for the device is set to “prevent” or the DDM server is offline, you can still upgrade IntelliMix Room.
- Changing the System Name of the host computer after installation of IntelliMix Room also changes the Dante Device name in Dante Controller. The Shure device name stays the same. This does not affect device performance and can be ignored.
- Ensure that the system/device name of the computer running IntelliMix Room is unique and follows Microsoft Window’s recommendation of 15 characters or less. IntelliMix Room relies on this unique name for proper Shure and Dante network operation.
- If you adjust certain networked audio properties (networked audio device name, encryption state, license channel count), IntelliMix Room briefly goes offline in Designer.
- In some scenarios, the computer running IntelliMix Room must be rebooted after a Zoom Rooms update occurs on the same computer.
- Allowing a system running IntelliMix Room to enter a sleep state can cause issues with IntelliMix Room’s logic and mute sync functionality. A reboot of the computer resolves the issue.
- Performing a factory reset of IntelliMix Room clears the user event logs.
- Performing a factory reset of IntelliMix Room from the System Tray Application requires the user to manually close and reopen the System Tray Application.
- When canceling an upgrade of IntelliMix Room and performing a “roll back”, the UI confirmation mentions “upgrade success” when it should mention “roll back success.” IntelliMix Room will successfully roll back to the previous version.
- If you update IntelliMix Room on a kiosk-type device using a remote desktop connection, log in to the admin account of the device after the update finishes and the device reboots. This step makes IntelliMix Room available as an audio device on the operating system.
- If using a default web browser other than Microsoft Edge, the log submission form triggered by the “report a problem” feature may not appear. If this happens, please visit software-logs.shure.com directly to submit the logs to Shure.
- If you have problems pushing Dante routes to IntelliMix Room from a shared Designer project file, see if the Designer files use network audio encryption. If so, reboot the computer running IntelliMix Room to fix the issue.

Important
- Firmware must be on 1.4.3 to use the new SCM820 application.
Improvement
- Fixed an issue with the app freezing when connecting to SCM820 with some Windows machines.
Known Issues
- Not all settings from the previous Flash UI are available with the new SCM820 application.
- Refer to new SCM820 user guide online for new SCM820 application settings
- Network settings cannot be adjusted in the new SCM820 application.
- Use MXW Software application for Shure Control settings and Audinate Dante Controller for device and Dante settings
- A message from Windows may pop up during installation stating the app may harm the computer. This is a Windows default message for new unknown apps. You may disregard and install. Here’s a link for more info: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/archive/blogs/smondal/windows-smartscreen-prevented-an-unrecognized-app-from-running-running-this-app-might-put-your-pc-at-risk
- Preconfigured devices with settings not available in the new SCM820 application will remain on the device until a factory reset is done. A factory reset will clear all settings back to defaults.
- Opening the application using DNS name may fail. This may be a network or Windows 10 limitation. Use IP address as a workaround.
- A lower spec PC may have a temporary processor hit when opening the application.
- When uninstalling, Windows may ask to close the application if running. The application closing may fail. The application will uninstall but continue to run if left open. Close all instances of the application to complete uninstalling.
Notes

- The user guide online is in English only
- To access multiple SCM820s, multiple instances of the application may be opened.
