New Features
- Transmitter "Mute Mode"
- A mode that changes the functionality of transmitter power switch from "power on/off" to "mute on/off". This feature is enabled/disabled through the transmitter menu, within the UTILITIES section of the menu structure. This functionality as also been added to the IR PRESETS list.
- Transmitters will communicate via the side channel when/if Mute Mode has been engaged (displayed in Wireless Workbench) and when/if the transmitter has been muted (displayed in Wireless Workbench and the receiver).
Improvements
- Added support for the X51 frequency band for use in Korea
- Minor UI text changes for consistency across wireless lines and in Wireless Workbench.
Notes
- After updating a ULX-D transmitter from any firmware version to 1.3.6, the transmitter will factory reset itself automatically.
- For operation of ULX-D devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with ULX-D version 1.3.6:
- ULXD1/2 ULXD Transmitters 1.3.6
- ULXD4, ULXD4D, ULXD4Q ULX-D Receivers 1.3.6
- AXT400 Axient Receiver 1.10.2
- Wireless Workbench 6 Beta version 6.6.1

New Features
- Receiver Mute
- Previously, receiver channels could be muted from Wireless Workbench amd not on device. Mute on/off capability has been added to the device within the AUDIO menu. Receiver mute for a channel can also be disengaged via a two-button combination push of the up/down gain arrows of that channel.
- When "Rx Mute" has been engaged, the ability to adjust system gain is disabled. Receiver channels must be unmuted in order to adjust system gain.
- Muting of a receiver channel is non-persistent (i.e. all channels with "Rx Mute" engaged will no longer be muted after the device is power-cycled).
- Device Gateway Address
- ULX-D receiver's gateway address can now be set to allow for cross-subnet control and monitoring of the receiver with 3rd party control surfaces.
- NOTE: Wireless Workbench does not function across different subnets. This feature is for 3rd party control surfaces only.
- Hardware Identification in Wireless Workbench
- Enables the user to trigger a flashing sequence from the physical device to locate the Wireless Workbench representation of that device in the software.
Improvements
- Added support for the X51 frequency band for use in Korea
- Minor UI text changes for consistency across wireless lines and in Wireless Workbench.
Known Issues
- To ensure proper functionality of the device, users must perform a factory reset of ULX-D receivers if any of the following scenarios describe the receiver:
- The receiver will be updated from 1.0.7 to 1.2.14
- The receiver will be updated from 1.0.7 to 1.3.6
- The receiver will be updated from 1.0.7 to 1.2.14 to 1.3.6 - ONLY if no factory reset was performed after updating to 1.2.14
Notes
- For operation of ULX-D devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with ULX-D version 1.3.6:
- ULXD1/2 ULXD Transmitters 1.3.6
- ULXD4, ULXD4D, ULXD4Q ULX-D Receivers 1.3.6
- AXT400 Axient Receiver 1.10.2

Important
- ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers running firmware prior to 1.4.8 must be updated to 1.4.8 before updating to newer versions.
- ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers running firmware between 1.4.8 and 2.0.28 must be updated to 2.0.28 before updating to newer versions.
- After 2.0.28 is installed, ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers can be updated to the latest available firmware version.
- ULX-D devices that are downgrading to 1.5.6 may report a false failure.
- Workaround: Because this is a false failure, closing the send updates window and going to the main page, Shure Update Utility will show green for the firmware version.
New Features
- Addition of Dante Device ID modes
- ID Mode: Sequential - Quick sequential numbering of ULX-D receivers to take advantage of quick device set-up and labeling for Dante digital audio network.
- ID Mode: Yamaha - specific labeling of ULX-D receiver's Dante Device ID for discovery as "online devices" by Yamaha CL Series consoles with firmware version 1.60 or later.

NEW FEATURES
- Added new TV format option
- The TV format is titled ‘6 MHz Japan’ and can be selected among other TV formats (6 MHz, 7 MHz, 8 MHz).
- The new TV format starts at channel 13 and ends at channel 52, each channel with a 6 MHz bandwidth.
- 6 MHz Japan TV format can be specified from Wireless Workbench for a Spectrum Manager.
- The new TV format can be downloaded to a networked Spectrum Manager for frequency coordination through the TV Channels dialog.
IMPROVEMENTS
- Supports ULX-D frequency bands X51, H50
- Supports PSM1000 band X7
- Supports MW4D band X7
KNOWN ISSUES
- CFL Analysis fails when the Spectrum Manager Exclusions list includes both a frequency range and a single frequency within that range. The Analysis result indicates an Exclusions conflict even though no CFL frequencies fall within the range of defined exclusions.
