New Features
- Services – ability to configure network services
Improvements
- Bug fixes
Known Issues
- AES67 support is only available on UltimoX hardware
- MXA310 devices manufactured as of July 2017 are compatible with AES67
- In AES67 mode - Audio does not pass after changing Dante Device name, followed by reboot
- When exporting Presets using Safari on a Mac OS, the file type is saved incorrectly and must be renamed to .json to be imported
- Shure Audio Encryption is not backwards compatible; all devices must be on version 4.1 or later firmware to use this feature
- When attempting to load the device’s web page after using SUU to upgrade or downgrade between MXA 4.3 and earlier releases, the browser may appear to be stuck on the “Loading” screen with the progress bar continually moving. This will typically happen if two upgrades or downgrades are performed within a one-hour period.
- Workaround: hold your Shift key and click the Refresh button in your browser (or press Ctrl+Shift+R [Win]/Ctrl+F5 [Win]/Cmd+Shift+R [Mac]; note the keyboard shortcut doesn't work on Safari)
- After updating from version 2.X to 4.2, Channel EQ settings return to their default settings.
- The Mute Control Function command string response is incorrect when using <GET 0 ALL>
- When using < GET MUTE_CONTROL_FUNC >, the response is as documented.
- When using < GET 0 ALL >, the response should be mapped as follows:
< GET 0 ALL > Response | Actual MUTE_CONTROL_FUNC |
< REP MUTE_BUTTON ON > ... < REP MUTE_CONTROL_FUNC LOGIC > | LOCAL |
< REP MUTE_BUTTON ON > ... < REP MUTE_CONTROL_FUNC LOCAL > | LOGIC |
< REP MUTE_BUTTON OFF > | DISABLED |

Important
- If you’re currently running IntelliMix Room 1.0, you must update to 2.0 first before installing 3.0
New Features and Improvements
- Added Shure’s proprietary AI Denoiser algorithm to IntelliMix Room’s automixer output
- Reduced IntelliMix Room’s transmit and receive Dante transport latencies by 5ms each.
- Reduced IntelliMix Room’s internal latency to Dante outputs by 10 ms. This does not include the Dante latency mentioned directly above.
- Reduced the PC output latency by 21 ms.
- Improved the user experience and accessibility of the system tray application after performing a factory reset of IntelliMix Room.
- Resolved issues related to sharing project files with networked audio encryption in Designer software.
- Improved the stability of IntelliMix Room’s virtual USB driver
Known Issues
- Packet scanning security software may cause audio performance issues with IntelliMix Room.
- In order to transition from a trial license to a paid license before trial expiration, the IntelliMix Room endpoint must be deactivated and reactivated. Otherwise, the entire trial license term will be used before the paid license.
- If you renew a license, IntelliMix Room uses the 90-day grace period from the expired license before starting the new license term. You'll see a license expiration notification during the 90-day grace period.
- In some scenarios, especially if rebooting computers via removing the power cable, mute sync between IntelliMix Room and the software codec can stop working. To resolve the issue, disable and re-enable the “HID-compliant headset” found under the “Shure IntelliMix Virtual Audio” USB Input Device within Window’s “Device Manager”.
- When using Dante Domain Manager (DDM) and the configuration for the device is set to “prevent” or the DDM server is offline, you can still upgrade IntelliMix Room.
- Changing the System Name of the host computer after installation of IntelliMix Room also changes the Dante Device name in Dante Controller. The Shure device name stays the same. This does not affect device performance and can be ignored.
- Ensure that the system/device name of the computer running IntelliMix Room is unique and follows Microsoft Window’s recommendation of 15 characters or less. IntelliMix Room relies on this unique name for proper Shure and Dante network operation.
- If you adjust certain networked audio properties (networked audio device name, encryption state, license channel count), IntelliMix Room briefly goes offline in Designer.
- In some scenarios, the computer running IntelliMix Room must be rebooted after a Zoom Rooms update occurs on the same computer.
- Allowing a system running IntelliMix Room to enter a sleep state can cause issues with IntelliMix Room’s logic and mute sync functionality. A reboot of the computer resolves the issue.
- Performing a factory reset of IntelliMix Room clears the user event logs.
- When canceling an upgrade of IntelliMix Room and performing a “roll back,” the UI confirmation mentions “upgrade success” when it should mention “roll back success.” IntelliMix Room will successfully roll back to the previous version.
- If you update IntelliMix Room on a kiosk-type device using a remote desktop connection, log in to the admin account of the device after the update finishes and the device reboots. This step makes IntelliMix Room available as an audio device on the operating system.
- If using a default web browser other than Microsoft Edge, the log submission form triggered by the “report a problem” feature may not appear. If this happens, please visit software-logs.shure.com directly to submit the logs to Shure.
- If uninstalling IntelliMix Room, the user must reboot the computer before re-installing any version of IntelliMix Room.

Performance Improvements
- Support for latest firmware
- Improved stability and performance
Pre-Upgrade Requirements
- Internet access is no longer required during the installation process; however, use of certain features like firmware updating and text notifications require internet access
- After upgrading SystemOn, clear your browser cache on the device accessing the SystemOn server, then re-assign your licenses to your devices by navigating to your organization > Licenses > Start managing
- SystemOn and Designer applications cannot be installed on the same computer; do not attempt to install one over the other
- Before updating firmware, turn off “Device Missing” notifications, then turn them back on after completing the firmware updates
Known Issues
- When using a virtual machine, it’s recommended to dedicate hardware resources (HD, RAM, etc.) to the virtual machine running the SystemOn application; using shared resources may cause Shure services to not start on reboot
- When a device is being firmware updated, it will appear offline during the update in SystemOn
- ULX-D transmitters using non-Shure batteries will show in the transmitter list with incorrect values for battery cycle count and health
- After attempting to forget cross-subnet devices, devices must be rebooted, then SystemOn server must be rebooted before the devices will disappear from SystemOn
- Discovering MXW microphones may take longer than 1 minute
- UTC time and date are displayed on Event Log and Email/SMS notifications
- For users setting up SMS notifications, the Senders Phone Number field does not show the required (*), but the field is required
- If a valid license activation ID is applied and fails on the first attempt, please try again before calling support

Bug Fixes
- When a device is being firmware updated, it will disappear and reappear in Designer
- When enabling or disabling encryption or changing the Dante name on the IMX-Room, the device will go offline for a few seconds without warning
Pre-Upgrade Requirements
- Designer 4.5 requires Windows 10 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition
- Designer 4.5 is currently supported on PC only
- Multiple versions of Designer cannot be installed on the same computer
- Designer and SystemOn cannot be installed on the same computer
Upgrade Path
- Designer versions 3.0 and 3.1 must be upgraded to 3.2 first, before upgrading to 4.5. Download Designer 3.2 here.
- If you encounter an Installer failure during upgrade, allow the uninstaller process to finish, then restart installation
- Certain endpoint protection software may block the application, if you encounter this anomaly, whitelist the Designer installer or application
Known Issues
- When disassociating online devices from Virtual devices multiple times, Optimize may not create expected logical routes
- Workaround: add new virtual devices and Optimize
- Selecting “forget device” on a cross-subnet MXA910 on firmware version 4.1.41 may result in the device being rediscovered
- Workaround: Close and re-open Designer or reboot device to see it as forgotten
- Mute Sync will not work between devices running version 4.2 and 4.3 Firmware
- Workaround: Ensure to update all P300 in the system to Designer 4.3
- In a network with more than 20 devices in a room or 60 on the network, some actions will take longer due to increased network traffic
- When importing a Designer preset file into the MXA910 web application, attempts to immediately export that file out of the web application will fail if it is not first loaded and saved to the MXA910.
- When soloing a channel on MXA310, all channels will show as “gated on”
- When one or more devices in a location are locked by Dante Domain Manager or Dante Device Lock, operations that affect Dante settings may be unreliable, such as audio routing, pushing virtual to online devices, or enabling audio encryption
- Changing channel count of Virtual IMX-Room device does not reset audio settings
- Workaround: Contact Support Center for assistance in the event occurrence
