Audinate
Shure Incorporated and Audinate, Inc. announced a licensing agreement for Audinate’s Dante™ digital audio networking technology in 2012. Dante networking enables multiple channels of audio to be distributed to a variety of devices over a single Ethernet cable. Dante networking provides reliable, low latency audio transport and can coexist safely on the same network as IT and control data. The first Shure products to include Dante networking capability were the ULXD4D Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver and ULXD4Q Quad-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver. These dual and quad channel systems are part of the ULX-D® wireless line and were launched in the U.S. at InfoComm® 2012 in Las Vegas, NV.
Founded in 2003, Audinate and over 200 companies had signed license agreements by the end of 2015, and the number of Dante-enabled products had surpassed 625.
