Important
- ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers running firmware prior to 1.4.8 must be updated to 1.4.8 before updating to newer versions.
- ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers running firmware between 1.4.8 and 2.0.28 must be updated to 2.0.28 before updating to newer versions.
- After 2.0.28 is installed, ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers can be updated to the latest available firmware version.
- ULX-D devices that are downgrading to 1.5.6 may report a false failure.
- Workaround: Because this is a false failure, closing the send updates window and going to the main page, Shure Update Utility will show green for the firmware version.
New Features
- AMX/Crestron control (full documentation here)
- High Density mode (notes on Frequency Coordination for ULX-D High Density channels)
- Dual and Quad receiver compatibility
Improvements
- Extended control of several parameters within Wireless Workbench, including Frequency Diversity Bodypack Source Indication (for ULX-D Dual and Quad receivers only)
- Various system and component bug fixes and improvements
Notes
- For operation of ULX-D devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with ULX-D version 1.2.14:
- ULXD1/2 ULXD Transmitters 1.2.14
- ULXD4, ULXD4D, ULXD4Q ULX-D Receivers 1.2.14
- Wireless Workbench 6 Beta version 6.4.0

NEW FEATURES
- Support for third party control interfaces
- The AXT400 Receiver and AXT900 Rack Charger can be monitored and controlled via command strings. The firmware update enables these devices to be controlled with programmable interfaces such as AMX and Crestron.
- The technical bulletin which documents the command strings can be found here: http://shure.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/...
KNOWN ISSUES
- When controlling Axient devices with command strings, only a single socket should be opened per device.
NOTES
- For operation of Axient devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with Axient version 1.9.2:
- UR4 UHF-R receiver 1.166
- UR3 Plug-on Transmitter 1.0.0.9
- UR5 Portable Diversity Receiver 1.0.0.13
- ULXD4 ULXD Receiver 1.2.14
- P10T PSM1000 Transmitter 1.3.4
- Wireless Workbench 6 Beta version 6.4.0 Beta

NEW FEATURES
- Networked discovery and coordination of ULXD4D Dual and ULXD4Q Quad receivers.
- Spectrum Manager discovers, coordinates and deploys frequencies for all ULX-D series receivers.
- Spectrum Manager identifies ULX-D receivers in High Density mode and maintains frequencies valid for High Density channels.
KNOWN ISSUES
- Very large compatible frequency lists deployed from WWB6 (>400 frequencies) may result in an unsuccessful deployment resulting in the loss of the CFL in the Spectrum Manager. When working with multiple bands of High Density channels it is recommend to unselect “Automatically Calculate Backups” in the WWB6 Coordination Preferences and add an appropriate number of requested backups via the “Add New Devices” dialog.

- Frequency Diversity-Bodypack source indicator
- When operating in Frequency Diversity-Bodypack mode, the AXT400 receiver now indicates which of the two RF channels is currently selected by the FD switching algorithm as the active source for the audio outputs of the receiver. The indicator ‘On’ appears beneath the ‘FD-Bp’ icon on the front panel display for the active RF channel and the same information is available in the WWB6 Properties Panel and Channel Strip for the receiver. The indicator facilitates troubleshooting if there is an acoustic problem with a microphone.
KNOWN ISSUES
- The Unexpected Transmitter alert function is disabled when Interference Avoidance is set to ‘Off’. Unexpected Transmitter alert is a separate function from Interference Detection which alerts when signal is received from an Axient or UHF-R transmitter that is not linked to the receiver.
- When controlling Axient devices with command strings, only a single socket should be opened per device.

IMPROVEMENTS
- Improved ShowLink connectivity in environments with high Wi Fi activity
- Transmitter remote control link is maintained under higher ratios of Wi Fi traffic to ShowLink messages, resulting in fewer instances of transmitters falling offline.
