Firmware
1.3.12

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Added support for G10J, J8J, L8J and L11J bands for use in Japan
  • Minor bug fixes

NOTES

  • For operation of PSM1000 devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with PSM1000 version 1.3.12:
    • Axient devices 1.14.6
    • ULX-D Devices 1.4.18
    • Wireless Workbench 6 version 6.9.2
    • Shure Update Utility 2.0.3
Firmware
1.4.18

Important

  • ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers running firmware prior to 1.4.8 must be updated to 1.4.8 before updating to newer versions.
  • ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers running firmware between 1.4.8 and 2.0.28 must be updated to 2.0.28 before updating to newer versions.
  • After 2.0.28 is installed, ULXD4D and ULXD4Q receivers can be updated to the latest available firmware version.
  • ULX-D devices that are downgrading to 1.5.6 may report a false failure.
    • Workaround: Because this is a false failure, closing the send updates window and going to the main page, Shure Update Utility will show green for the firmware version.

Improvements

  • Interference Alert Accuracy Improvement
    • In some situations previous versions of ULX-D could falsely report Interference Alerts when interference was not actually present. This firmware release removes false reporting, but retains the ability to alert the user if interference was the reason why a particular setup lost RF signal.

Notes

  • For operation of ULX-D devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with ULX-D version 1.4.18:
    • ULXD1/2 ULX-D Transmitters 1.4.18
    • ULXD4, ULXD4D, ULXD4Q ULX-D Receivers 1.4.18
    • AXT400 Axient Receiver 1.14.6
    • Wireless Workbench 6 version 6.9.0

This firmware release removes false reporting, but retains the ability to alert the user if interference was the reason why a particluar setup lost RF signal.

Notes

  • After updating the ULXD4 Single Receiver from version 1.0.7, the user is required to reset the unit to Default Settings (DEVICE UTILITIES/SYSTEM RESET/RESTORE/DEFAULT SETTINGS).

New Features

  • Optional Encryption Enhancement
    • On (Auto): Functions the same as all previous versions of ULX-D where there is a new key generated on each sync.
    • On (Manual): New function to support multiple transmitters; useful for situations such as a combo system that needs to be encrypted and have two transmitters ready to use with one receiver.
    • On (Manual): Issues the same key on every sync so you can easily have multiple transmitters (handheld and/or bodypack) synced and ready to use with one receiver.
    • Regenerate Keys: This allows the user of manual mode to ask the receiver to create a new 256 bit encryption key. Note that it is required to sync transmitters to ge the new key.

Improvements

  • TV Display format is restored as a part of system reset to factory default, and can be saved/recalled as a preset.
  • Group Scan now auto-deploys all custom groups to units within the same frequency band along with the frequency information previously shared
  • Completed all Third-Party Control reporting for all features that can be reported via that < GET x ALL > command.
  • Dante network configurations changes become functional right away via an auto system reboot.
